Late cooperation
In April 2025, Converse finally unveiled the mystery of its joint series with “Naruto”. This time, the joint series is not simply to print classic characters on the uppers, but to use Chuck 70 as a carrier to deeply restore the spirit and visual details of the characters – not only totems that symbolize identity, hidden tongue design, but also materials and accessories to convey the characteristics of the characters, making these three pairs of shoes a bridge connecting animation fans and street culture.
Why can this collaboration explode the Eastern and Western markets?
1. Visual restoration
The Naruto model (orange and black)
is inspired by Naruto’s iconic combat uniform, with a strong contrast between the orange upper and black shoelaces. The vortex logo on the side echoes the forehead pattern on the tongue, and the shoelace buckle even imitates the shape of a kunai. The whole pair of shoes takes into account both visual impact and detailed expression, making it suitable for both wearing and collection.

Sasuke version (gray purple)
is a low-saturation gray tone, matched with purple laces, echoing the color scheme of his “cursed” state. The Uchiha clan crest is embossed inside the tongue, and the heel label reads “Revenge” in Japanese. It is low-key yet sharp, which fits the character’s aloof temperament very well.

The Gaara (Rust)
reddish-brown canvas features the word “Love” embroidered on it, inspired by the mark on his forehead. The outsole replicates the texture of Shukaku of the Sand, with a prominent texture. If you look closely, you can find that the shoelace buckles and the sole patterns contain “sand” elements, which makes them highly recognizable.

2. Practical design
This collaboration is not limited to the framework of “secondary peripherals”, but actively approaches the street context of daily wear:
The full size coverage makes this pair of shoes suitable for both parents and children. It is easy to wear for adults to wear as Cosplay shoes, or for children to wear with their daily uniforms.
The distressed midsole and textured canvas weaken the stereotype of “cartoon shoes”. Imagine pairing them with overalls or a loose windbreaker, which is both stylish and not abrupt.
The metal badge is detachable, with two styles for one shoe. It can be used for hardcore display or removed to be more low-key and integrated into daily wear.
3. Feelings and strategies
In terms of price, the three shoes are priced only $15 more than the regular Chuck 70, which is much lower than the anime co-branded shoes on the market that often cost over $100 (such as Asics x Demon Slayer).
The release date is the 12th anniversary of the completion of the Naruto animation, which accurately awakens the emotional memories of adult fans.
First released through niche trend channels such as Feature and Atmos, strengthening the “trendy product attributes” to avoid being mistaken for teenagers’ toys
Memories
Compared to those joint models that only stay on the surface printing, Converse tells the story of Naruto in a way that combines texture, narrative and emotion. The street gene of canvas shoes and the growth narrative of Naruto are seamlessly integrated in this set of designs. Each pair seems to hide the starting point of a character’s journey, and it is also a tacit echo of youth for those viewers who pressed the DVD play button in the 2000s.
